how to talk to little girls article.

another amazing article... this is SO IMPORTANT! We talk about this topic often and I remember dealing with it as a child and teenager myself. Actually its only the last couple years that I quit caring about my looks so much. I never wear makeup or do my hair and spend about 2 minutes decided what to wear (not just because I am hugely pregnant and nothing fits) and its really freeing. It is important to me that Piper cares more about her mind than her body.

Fathers Day Eve

On this Fathers Day Eve, I share an amazing article I found on CNN. This article made me cry- THANK GOD it did not make me cry because my husband or my own father need to wake the hell up. But because of the explanation of what the wife/mom usually goes through. It made me feel insanely blessed to have the men in my life that I do. I realize how lucky I am and how few women have such support. But he is right, many men do need to wake the hell up.

Happy fathers day eve!!!

6. Put a sign on my door saying “Dear Friends and Family, Mom and baby need extra rest right now. Please come back in 7 days but phone first. All donations of casserole dinners would be most welcome. Thank you for caring about this family.”

inner struggle.

Yesterday, the thought of religion, spirituality, and God in reference to children was on my mind ALL day. It was turning into an inner struggle. Today this quote was one of the first things I saw. Thank you for this answer.

"If the education process is such that there is no imposition of any kind of ideas or beliefs, a child will naturally look inward".
